Well every 18.6 years we experience the major lunar standstill which is peaking now and into early 2025, with the moon by declination reaching its furthest point from the celestial equator and its furthest northern latitude from the sun. This major lunar standstill will be at its most extreme around the equinoxes in september 2024 and march 2025.
